Design and Printing Services at Popfuel

Popfuel isn't just a low-cost studio for local artists and students - we also offer production and design services for people seeking the unique look of screened artwork, all printed by hand in the Popfuel studio. The screenprinting process gives you options that offset or digitial printing can only hint at, such as shimmering metallics like copper, gold or silver, bright fluorescent colours, or any number of unique, otherwise unreproducable hues. A screened poster is truly art.

If you'd like to get a poster designed or have custom printing done, the best bet is to email us and ask for a quote. As a general guideline to our fees, here's a basic rundown:

Design: We do original artwork design and layout work, as well as digital prepress, image separations and consultation services. Every printing job, including those with exiting artwork, will require prepress time. $35/hour

Printing: Colour mixing, screen preparation, paper and labour. The average print job works out to about one hour of labour per colour. $35/hour - Screen Fee $20/screen

Paper and ink costs will depend on the job - please email us and ask for a quote. We also do t-shirts as well!

Popfuel's "25 Posters for $100" Special

As a special offer exclusively for Toronto-based bands, we offer a deal - you get 25 custom designed, hand-printed posters for your upcoming Toronto gig for only $100. To understand how great a deal this is, a print run of this size and type typically costs upwards of $500!

The reason we are willing to offer this deal is to help support Toronto's independent music scene, by offering quality posters that you can use to advertise your show, as well as sell at your merch table. Without you, there'd be no gig posters, and this is our way of giving back.

There are some conditions to this offer - you must be a band based in Toronto, the show should be in a legitimate Toronto venue, and you must not have taken advantage of our offer previously.
